Lastly, For those not at the meeting last month we made we votes to change the Club Quarterly Style Competition.

November 2014 Meeting (11-20-14)


The November meeting will be held on Thursday the 20th at Ice Harbor starting at 7PM for social time. The meeting will kick off around 7:30 with the following topics of discussion.

Holiday party (Jan 17th): Who, What, Where, When, and Why???
Club Quarterly Competition: What is the future, How do you want it to look?
Club Dues: They are coming due, know where and when to pay.
Technical Topic: When is it a good time to brew a Lager?

T-Shirts: For those who pre-ordered your shirt may be picked up for $15 (See Chad & Sveta)

October Club Meeting (10-16-14)

Hey All,

Time for another Club meeting. As normal we will be meeting at 7 PM in the back of Ice Harbor to tasting and social time. The official meeting starts at 7:30.

We will be talking about the following:
November 8th Mega Brew (Dark Malty Rye Beer) – We will need volunteers on Friday night, 11-7-14, to help crush grain
Holiday Party (Dates and Locations will be discussed)
The future of the Club Quarterly Style competition
A tech topic will also be discussed for those interested.

Please come and enjoy some time sharing your homebrew with other club members.

August MCZA Club Meeting (8-21-14)

Hey Everybody,

I hope that everyone had a great summer and with the kids going back to school next week maybe its time to do a little celebrating. Why not come to the club meeting this Thursday 8-21 at Ice Harbor Brewery. Tasting will begin at 7 PM in the brew house with the formal meeting kicking off at 7:30.

The agenda for this months meeting will include:
The Benton Franklin County Fair competition (Winners will be Announced)
Club t-shirts (taking orders for the first official run in the next 2 weeks, $15 per shirt)
Technical Discussion presented by …

Also, don’t forget the Club Quarterly Style being judged in September is British Bitter of any strength. You still have enough to brew your own.

June 2014 Meeting

Hey Everyone,

We will be meeting this Thursday 6-19 at Ice Harbor Brewery. Tasting will begin at 7 PM back in the brew house with the formal meeting kicking off at 7:30.

Don’t forget to bring your Club Quarterly American Amber Ale to be judged by the group for a chance to win a $50 gift card to the homebrew shop.

We will also be discussing our involvement in BEERSTOCK 5060-5 (more info below), The Benton Franklin Fair Homebrew Competition, & enjoying a quick technical talk.

Beerstock 5060 is taking place July 12th. It will be held near Orting, WA(south of Seattle). Beerstock is yearly homebrew celebration where regional clubs get together and share their homebrew. It is a great opportunity to meet other homebrewers, taste lots of beer, and have a good time. Below is a list of activities taking place:

BEERSTOCK 5060-5 OFFICIALLY STARTS  at 1:00 pm, July 12, 2014: 
-Booth set-up starts at noon (you’re welcome to come at 11:00 if need be)
-1:00 pm begin tasting other brew club member’s concoctions in a Beerstock taster glass
-Meet homebrewers from all over the area
-Live Band – Blinded By No One will perform with other entertainers
-Fire Dancers, Muselheim, will welcome the full moon
-Free Range BJCP beer judges will be roaming if you’d like feedback on your beer
-Beer games, raffles & prizes
-Smell, taste and compare various hops and grains, etc.
-Brewing equipment Garage Sale
-Beer Art Sale
-6:30 pm Pot Luck, bring a side dish, snacks, dessert, salad, etc.  Best food made with    beer chosen by Bri, last year’s winner.  (Please write a descriptive sign for your dish.)
-Bratwurst provided by the Beerstock 5060 staff
-The Great Beer Exchange, back by popular demand, bring a bottle of homebrew!
-A new Beerstock t-shirt and/or cap will be for sale (cash or check only)
-Plenty of room for camping and RV’s (no hook-ups) – light breakfast included
Camping space is provided for Saturday night and everyone is encouraged to stay the night. Cost is $20 per person and will need to be given to me for check-in.

After the main business portion of Thursday’s meeting I will get everyone interested in attending together for quick coordination of car pooling, beer we plan to serve, supplies to bring, etc. If you are unable to make the meeting and are interested in attending email me and I will get in touch with you.
